01
What was getting in the way?
The brand had traffic and a healthy subscriber base, but its cart flow treated every abandonment the same. The first text arrived before the shopper had enough time to reconsider, the second repeated the same discount, and no branch separated first-time visitors from returning customers. Conversion sat at 3.1%, and the team had no clean view of earnings per message.
02
What did SMSLeads change?
We rebuilt the flow around intent and permission. First-time visitors received product context before an offer; returning customers moved directly to the relevant cart. The second message only fired when the first produced no purchase, and frequency caps suppressed people already inside another automation. Copy stayed under the 240-character range where Attentive reports stronger conversion.
03
What moved after eight weeks?
Cart-flow conversion rose from 3.1% to 6.9%. Earnings per message moved from $3.90 to $9.70, inside Postscript's published abandoned-cart range of $3.52 to $10.95. Opt-outs held at 0.36% per send. The result came from better timing and relevance, not a larger discount or more messages.
